Transactional data — users, orders, bookings — belongs in PostgreSQL where relationships and consistency matter. Rich, evolving content like storefront pages and media metadata fits MongoDB's flexible documents. Using each where it is strongest keeps the platform both reliable and adaptable.

A multi-tenant SaaS platform that turns “no online presence” into a working digital storefront in one sitting — website, marketplace listing and bookings under a single account.

The problem

Getting a small business online meant stitching together four tools — a website builder, a listing site, a booking app and payments — none of which shared data. Setup was slow and there was no single place to run it all.

What I built

One product where presence, marketplace and bookings share the same account. A Next.js front end serves fast, SEO-friendly public pages and the dashboard; a Node.js API sits over two stores chosen on purpose — PostgreSQL for transactional data (accounts, listings, bookings, payments) and MongoDB for flexible content like storefront pages and media.
